The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD Carbon Series roared into the spotlight at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, captivating enthusiasts with its cutting-edge performance pack and meticulously crafted interior. This latest Mustang iteration stands out not just for its high-octane capabilities but also for a sleek design and advanced driver aids, all aimed at setting new benchmarks on the Nürburgring.
The Mustang GTD's performance pack is a game-changer, designed to achieve a sub-7-minute Nürburgring lap. Key features include:
- Active Aerodynamics: Dive planes, a larger front splitter, underbody flaps, and a rear drag reduction system enhance both straight-line speed and cornering grip.
- Lightweight Magnesium Wheels: 20-inch wheels reduce unsprung weight, improving agility.
- Enhanced Front Fascia: New design with dive planes for better aerodynamic efficiency.
Chief Engineer Greg Goodall emphasized the GTD's comprehensive excellence: "From the lightweight carbon fiber body to the active aerodynamics, we’ve learned from motorsport how to make the Mustang GTD excel everywhere."

Inside, the GTD prioritizes the driver with features crafted for a premium, performance-focused experience:
- Recaro Seats: Standard for optimal support.
- 3D-Printed Titanium Paddle Shifters: Large, hexagonal-patterned shifters ensure precise control over the dual-clutch transaxle.
- Advanced Steering Wheel: Flat-bottomed, with Dinamica inserts and additional controls for suspension and exhaust adjustments.
New controls include buttons for track apps and a front-axle lift function, enhancing convenience and performance.
The Mustang GTD’s Chroma Flame paint commands attention, paired with exposed carbon-fiber elements that highlight its advanced construction. The Carbon Series trim offers a stunning contrast with unpainted carbon sections and Magnetite wheels.
