In the early 1980s, Ford was on a mission to revolutionize the compact car market with their innovative lineup of vehicles. One such standout model was the 1981 Ford Shuttler / Optim, a compact car that pushed the boundaries of design and functionality.
From the sleek semi-fastback aerodynamic wedge silhouette to the innovative side luggage storage, the Shuttler was ahead of its time in terms of packaging and aerodynamics. With a coefficient of drag equal to that of the Mercury LN7, the Shuttler boasted impressive performance and fuel efficiency.
