Colani Utah 6

The Utah 6 was a concept vehicle from Swiss designer Luigi Colani, built as a four-seater with the same egg-shaped, one-box form used on the earlier Utah 2. This distinguished it from the Utah 3 to 5, which had been two-wheeled designs. Its narrow front wheels sat further outboard than on the Utah 2, positioned under conventional fender cutouts, while the rear wheels were enclosed by fairings that extended downward.

Like its predecessors, the Utah 6 was originally conceived for economy record attempts. It used a tubular steel frame (St-37/St-35) paired with a lower body section made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic and a continuous plexiglass canopy. Power came from a Fichtel & Sachs moped engine, a single-cylinder two-stroke unit of 49 cm³ producing 6.25 PS at 7,100 rpm, with a maximum of 9,000 rpm, driving the right rear wheel.
