Car & Classic, the popular online platform for car collectors, is kicking off the new year with an extraordinary auction. Starting on January 5th, a rare and pristine 2022 McLaren Senna LM will go under the hammer. As one of only 20 examples ever built, this hypercar promises to be a showstopper for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
A Hypercar Like No Other
The McLaren Senna LM is an exclusive creation by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), conceived as a tribute to the iconic Senna GTR and the legendary McLaren F1 GTR that triumphed at Le Mans. Its striking McLaren F1 Orange livery and bespoke features—such as vented fenders and a quad-tipped gold exhaust—are unmistakable nods to its racing heritage.
With just 46 miles on the odometer, this Senna LM remains virtually untouched. It is part of a distinguished Dutch collection and is currently displayed at the Lowman showroom in Utrecht.
A Perfect Blend of Performance and Design
The Senna LM pushes the boundaries of road-legal performance. Beneath its aerodynamic shell lies a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine delivering an astonishing 845 horsepower and immense torque. Thanks to its lightweight carbon-fiber construction, the car rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in mere seconds and reaches breathtaking top speeds.
McLaren engineers have fine-tuned the airflow dynamics to achieve exceptional downforce, ensuring the car remains glued to the road even at high speeds. Features like an adjustable rear wing, a double diffuser, and an F1-inspired roof scoop underscore its track-inspired design.
Comfort Meets Cutting-Edge Technology
Despite its racing pedigree, the Senna LM offers a surprising level of comfort and sophistication. The cockpit, adorned with fine materials and precision detailing, includes Alcantara-wrapped steering, adjustable seats and steering, and full climate control. Additionally, it features a three-camera track telemetry system, allowing drivers to monitor their performance.
A Rare Opportunity for Collectors
This particular Senna LM is one of only seven fitted with right-hand drive and boasts unique elements such as heritage badging, engraved lettering, special racing wheels, and tinted windows. Of the 20 produced, five were destined for a single collector in Florida, making this auction a rare opportunity for buyers outside the U.S.
