At the Paris Motor Show, Toyota unveiled the Toyota Auris Space Concept, a vehicle designed with a unique "inside-out" approach. This concept car was a world debut for Toyota and showcased a new interpretation of their design philosophy, Vibrant Clarity.
The Toyota Auris Space Concept was described as tall and spacious, with a high waistline and short overhangs to give it a sense of dynamism and agility. The interior of the car featured a sculpted, bridged center console that brought the gearlever and controls up to the perfect ergonomic height. This design also created an open section in the lower part of the console, increasing the sense of space for driver and passengers.
The inside-out concept was further highlighted by the panoramic glass roof, flat rear passenger floor, and high window surfaces, all contributing to the overall sense of light and space inside the vehicle. The exterior of the Auris Space Concept featured a powerful front-end treatment with strong vertical lines, wide shoulders, and short overhangs. Sports-styled 19-inch alloy wheels, geometric lamps, prominent brake callipers, and chrome exhausts added to the dynamic look of the concept car.
The Auris Space Concept was finished in a striking gold exterior paint, reflecting the Latin word for gold, "aurum." This concept car aimed to reflect the shifting values of customers in the C segment while aligning with Toyota's optimistic brand attitude.
The Toyota Auris Space Concept was a bold and innovative vehicle that embodied Toyota's commitment to design excellence and customer-centric innovation.
