The LG Special, a unique 1957 sports car, was the brainchild of Swedish engineer Lennart Gliving. This handcrafted vehicle was built using a 1951 Dyna Panhard chassis and engine as its foundation. Gliving's vision for the car incorporated parts from various vehicles, including a Fiat 1100 grille and Ford Vedette rear lights, giving the LG Special a distinctive look.
What sets this 2-seater apart is its hand-sculpted plastic body. Measuring just 85 cm at its highest point, the low-slung, doorless design was formed without the aid of technical drawings. Instead, Gliving relied on his intuition and a wooden model, which he carefully covered in layers of plastic pulp and fiberglass. The result was a sleek, minimalist sports car with an open top and an unmistakably personal aesthetic.
