The Knolle cars, crafted by coachbuilder Kurt Knolle from Stadthagen in 1981, were unique convertibles blending Mercedes-Benz and Opel components. Knolle's creation was based on the 1954 Mercedes-Benz 170 V, but with a retro design flair. The car featured a long hood, under which a powerful six-cylinder Mercedes engine generated 130 horsepower. Equipped with advanced features for its time, it boasted adjustable rear shock absorbers, vacuum-locking front seat backrests, electric side windows, and electrically adjustable front seats. This combination of classic styling and modern comfort made Knolle's car a distinctive vehicle.
