Cunningham - C7

PRESS RELEASE:

This is the Cunningham C7 concept, as launched on the 2001 Detroit Motorshow. The C7 is built by the son and grandson of Briggs Cunningham who raced on Le Mans in the 1950s, the company is co-owned by Bob Lutz. Designer Stewart Reed was charged with creating a modern interpretation of Briggs Cunningham succesful Le Mans racer, the C-4R. At the heart of the C7 lies a modern 48 valve 6.8 liter V12 engine that is expected to produce over 500bhp. Reed is commissioned to design a production car which is expected to sell for more than $250,000.
