During the period leading up to a visit by Adam West to the Design Center, Chuck Jordan, a prominent figure at General Motors (GM), instructed the Corvette Studio to create a mockup of a "Batmobile" option for the '67 Stingray coupe. It was believed that this option could have been marketed and sold by Chevrolet.
