HYUNDAI TO UNVEIL NEW SMALL CAR, MX, AT SEOUL MOTOR SHOW
The Seoul Motor Show, which opens on Wednesday 23 April, sees the arrival of Hyundai’s entrant into the increasingly important small city car market.
The new MX, which is only 137.6 inches (3500mm) in length, has been developed for the growing small car market. The introduction of this sub-Accent sized model puts Hyundai on an equal footing with many of the world’s leading manufacturers and extends the company’s car range to a nine model line up.
The new four cylinder, 1.0 litre engined MX has been designed with Korean domestic vehicle taxation and the new Japanese K-class regulations in mind, so helping to ease world congestion.
Contemporary styling
Hyundai’s new five seater mini-car will offer contemporary styling combined with outstanding fuel economy and responsive performance.
Although Hyundai Car (UK) Ltd has no immediate date for the importation of the MX, the car will be introduced in Korea in Spring 1998. A European launch in left-hand drive form will follow soon after.
