The end of the Fifties was characterised by a strong American influence on styling, which was felt not only in the automobile industry, but in all production sectors. In the car world, the American taste for tail "fins" spread to the Italian master coachbuilders too.At the Turin Motor Show in 1959 the Fiat-Osca 1500 was presented. The car showed the trends of its day, with its fashionable side cuts and slim, streamlined profile, an overall style reminiscent of the design from across the pond.
