The Jetta X Concept made its world premiere ahead of Auto China 2026 as an all-electric SUV created for China’s entry-level new-energy vehicle market. The show car also introduced Jetta’s revised emblem and a new design language called Modern Robust, marking the brand’s transition from combustion-powered models towards electrified vehicles.
Its upright body combines a long horizontal bonnet, straight roofline and nearly vertical rear section. Slim front lights are connected by a dark strip containing the illuminated Jetta emblem, while trapezoidal wheel arches, black lower cladding and a substantial front bumper provide the exterior with a more functional appearance. A continuous rear light bar and illuminated lettering repeat the horizontal treatment at the back.
Volkswagen Group has not released dimensions, battery capacity, motor output, driving range or production specifications for the Jetta X. Jetta plans to introduce four new-energy vehicles by 2028, with the first production model scheduled to reach the Chinese market during 2026.
