At the 1969 Frankfurt Motor Show, Opel presented two new “experimental cars” created under the direction of its new, ambitious Chief Stylist, Charles M. “Chuck” Jordan – who later became GM’s fourth Vice President of Design. One of the cars was the Aero GT, a compelling variant of the coupe with a removable roof.
