Citroën"Frédéric" has emerged as 4th term project-work of Markus Haub at the University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim in 1995.
The 3.80 m short van concept has been consistently interpreted as car-sharing vehicle that offers space for 5-6 persons. The four wheel hub motors drive the electric car. For the body pannels flax and other renewable raw materials are used. In order to cover longer distances, several vehicles can be coupled together to reduce energy consumption. This consumtion is always indicated by an arrow (Citroén logo) onthe side glass area to the outside, so everybody can see it. On the roof we have solar cells that can be fanned out like an umbrella, to provide power and shade while the car is parked. At the rear there are two cloth bags that can be used for shopping or as a too- or first aid-kit. The vehicle can also be used as a taxi, ambulance or shuttle bus.
