The design concept of "Kupeng" is demonstrated by the vivid image of a swiming fish with its lilac body, just like the fish scale, shinning under water. The design of "Kupeng", including the fish-like body styling, fisheye-like lamps and fin-like handles realistically embodies the features of a fish terms of its streamlined body with low resistance, simplicity and flexibility. In addition, the innovation design of the extra-large windshield and rear window not only prvides the 7-seat space with a broad and bright vision, but also exhibits the fresh creativity and innovative concepts coming from PATAC deisgners of the new generation.
As a concept CAV designed by a Chinese designer for typical customers, mainly represents the leading capability of PATAC in its exterior design. Referring to the traditional concept of Chinese people such as "fish" is capable of jumping high enough to get across the dragon shaped gate and the surplus (pronounced "yu" in Chinese, the as "fish") remains year by year. The designer intergates the traditional Chinese culture into the design. Both the styling and spirit of "Kupeng" can be regarded as the innovative change to the conventional design of the minivan in China. "Kupeng" not only indicates by its name the happiness and freedom that the vehicle would deliver to the driver and passengers, but also historically signifies the further rapid development of the Chinese automotive design industry.
