Geely Eva Cab Concept

2026

Geely presented the Eva Cab at the 2026 Hong Kong Auto Expo as a purpose-built robotaxi developed for Level 4 autonomous driving. The vehicle uses a computing system producing 1,400 TOPS and a Step 3.5 artificial-intelligence model with 196 billion parameters. According to Geely, it can operate across 99 per cent of everyday travel situations, including unmarked rural roads and manually operated toll plazas.

Its perception system incorporates 43 hardware units, including LiDAR sensors and high-definition cameras, arranged to provide 360-degree coverage. The conventional steering wheel, pedals and other driving controls have been removed, allowing the cabin to be organised entirely around passenger accommodation and digital interaction. An AI-controlled chassis can respond within four milliseconds and intervene automatically in hazardous conditions.

A production version developed for CaoCao Mobility is scheduled to enter manufacture and begin commercial service in 2027. The Eva Cab will therefore move from prototype form into an operational ride-hailing vehicle rather than remaining solely an autonomous-driving study.
