The Chery iCAR ROBOX Concept made its global debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show as a study for the brand’s future X-series vehicles. Its name combines the words robot and box, although the exterior moves away from the straight-edged treatment commonly used for off-road SUVs. A sloping windscreen, rounded body surfaces and a one-box upper structure are combined with increased ground clearance, broad wheel arches and large all-terrain tyres.
The front has rectangular headlights connected by a dark horizontal panel, with two circular lighting units positioned inside the substantial lower bumper. Black protective sections continue around the wheel openings and along the lower body, while a roof rack and short overhangs complete its utility-focused proportions. The smoother exterior forms were also developed to reduce aerodynamic drag.
ROBOX is based on the i-SWIFT Platform 3.0, which supports high-voltage charging at megawatt level and a new axial-flux electric motor. Chery has not disclosed the concept’s dimensions, output, battery capacity, driving range or production timetable.
