Fiat - Bravo Xtreme Concept

Car Show: Bravo Xtreme

As already characteristic of Fiat exhibitions in the International Auto Show, the make once again shows vehicles that express the creativity of its engineers and designers team. This is the accent through which Fiat presents its newest Show Car, the Bravo Xtreme, a car created to highlight the Italian design and sporty style of this model.

In this essay of the Fiat Design Center LATAM, the Xtreme Bravo shows a new interpretation of the make for the front bumper. The traditional Fiat logo, plus the chromed mustache give rise to a larger grille, over which is applied the famous "vintage" logo used in models like the Fiat Mefistofele, a sporty style of the make in 1908. Moreover, it gets two lateral air outlets with LEDs, which increase the perceived width of the car and the feeling of visual stability. It also brings a unique central spoiler that visually approximates the car to the asphalt.

The headlights have been completely redesigned and show the utmost in technology in the area of lighting. Warheads-shaped side LEDS involve the main headlight. This shape conceptually resembles a pearl protected by a futuristic armor. At the rear of the car, the lanterns are also highlighted with the same design line of the front headlamps, resembling lit jewels. Yet the bumper has side air vents and a huge air diffuser. A rear flap and side miniskirts complete the dynamic look of the car.

The interior of Bravo Xtreme goes in harmony with the external design, and is a tribute to the Italian super sports cars. The concept is the interpretation of a fusion of sporting features and exclusivity, starting with a new seating layout, where the four passengers are accommodated on individual seats in both front and rear places. Everything has been thought to share the experience and thrill of driving for all passengers. While driver and passenger have a privileged view of the front of the car, the passengers on rear seats can interact with the screens positioned at the rear of the backrest of the front seats. This allows them to enjoy the view of the road with the same privilege of the pilot through images generated by cameras located outside the car. If they prefer, the screens can also be used to watch videos of the multimedia system.

Seats also feature drawings with sporting features and anatomical surfaces, which added to the adapted rear door panels amplify the sense of welcoming to the passengers.

The dashboard received new more precise initials and a touch of sportiness. At night, the panel lights up in two colors: white for the speedometer, display, fuel and temperature markers, while the tachometer is lit in red. Still on the front, a decorative strip on the panel has been reinterpreted with the volumes of side air outlets and highlighted with the addition of the third air outlet in the central region, alluding to some legendary models of the group.

The center console has been completely redesigned, conveying lightness and sportiness to the whole. The gearshift ball received a new grip and is supported by a structure that transmits the feeling the lever is floating on the console, while the conventional handbrake gave way to the electric system. The high-fidelity sound system was developed in conjunction with ASK, exclusively for the model.

Beautiful and extraordinary, the Bravo Xtreme has also received a mechanical assembly that promises make performance enthusiasts love it. For this, the same basis as the Fiat Linea from the Fiat League Cup was used: T-Jet propellant 1.4 16V, with a specific preparation, that is capable of generating 253 horsepower at 6,600 rpm of maximum power and maximum torque of 33.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm, much stamina for the model.

The car's suspension was also reworked to give the whole show car greater steering precision. New elements, such as 10% stiffer springs and specific dampers in the front suspension allow the Bravo Xtreme to behave very well in start-ups, braking, and more abrupt cornering. Yet the rear suspension received modifications to further reduce bodyshell scroll. All this, added to the set of new light-alloy wheels, made the car be 5 mm lower, with a very aggressive and sporty look.
