Flintlo / Flint-Lomax

1905-1905

Flint & Lomax Co. was established in Denver, Colorado, in 1905. The company made its debut at the Denver Automobile Show in April of the same year, showcasing a prototype vehicle that was not yet completed and lacked an official name. Initially referred to as the Flint-Lomax, the vehicle was later abbreviated to Flintlo.

The Flintlo was designed as a five-seater tourer, powered by a 14-horsepower four-cylinder engine. It featured overhead valves, which were considered an advanced technology for automobiles of that era. The vehicle utilized a conventional transmission system, equipped with a three-speed gearbox and shaft drive. Despite its innovative features, Flint & Lomax Co. did not continue operations into 1906, marking the end of the Flintlo's brief existence in the automotive market.
