Commodore

1921-1922

Commodore Motors Corporation was an American automobile manufacturer based in New York City, New York, that operated briefly from 1921 to 1922. The company was known for producing luxury vehicles that catered to a high-end market.

The first model introduced by Commodore was a six-cylinder automobile equipped with a Continental engine. This vehicle featured a long wheelbase of 133 inches (3,365 mm) and was priced between $4,000 and $5,200, which positioned it in the luxury segment. However, the high price point likely hindered its sales performance.

In 1922, Commodore Motors released a revised model that utilized a more economical four-cylinder Wisconsin engine while maintaining the same wheelbase. This model was priced more competitively, ranging from $2,950 to $3,500. Despite these adjustments, production numbers for both models remained very low, ultimately leading to the company's short-lived existence in the automotive industry.
