Chick Enterprises

1994-1999

Chick Enterprises was a kit car manufacturer based in Butler, New Jersey, known for its association with the Tucker automobile. The company was founded by Chick DeLorenzo, who was a kit car builder and an enthusiast of the original Tucker vehicles.

The surge of interest in Tucker cars in the late 1980s was largely influenced by the release of the film "Tucker: The Man and His Dream," directed by Francis Ford Coppola. DeLorenzo, who had owned an original Tucker, collaborated with Coppola during the film's production. This partnership allowed him to obtain a set of molds from the car used in the film when it was being restored.

Chick Enterprises offered a basic kit that enabled customers to build their own Tucker-inspired vehicles using Ford, Lincoln, and Chevrolet chassis. The bodies for these kits were manufactured by Exotic Enterprises, allowing enthusiasts to recreate the distinctive design of the Tucker automobile.
