Belmont Electric Automobile Company was established in 1916 in Wyandotte, Michigan. The company specialized in the production of electric vehicles during a time when the automotive industry was beginning to embrace electric technology.

Belmont offered two primary models of electric cars: a four-seater limousine and a six-seater limousine, catering to different market segments. In addition to these passenger vehicles, the company also produced a light delivery vehicle, aimed at commercial use. However, the production of Belmont vehicles was very limited, and the company did not achieve significant market penetration.

Despite its brief existence, Belmont Electric Automobile Company contributed to the early development of electric vehicles in the United States, reflecting the era's interest in alternative power sources for automobiles.
