B-Z-T

1915-1915

B-Z-T Cydccar Company was established in 1915 in Owego, New York, as a manufacturer of cydccars, a niche segment of the automotive market. The company was a late entrant into this field and aimed to produce a more refined product compared to its contemporaries.

The B-Z-T cydccar featured a 15 horsepower, air-cooled, two-cylinder engine, which was complemented by a friction transmission. Notably, it employed a shaft drive system, a rarity for cydccars of that era. The name "B-Z-T" was derived from the initials of the three founders: C.K. Ball, W.H. Zeh, and D.N. Thompson. Despite its innovative features, the B-Z-T Cydccar struggled to achieve commercial success and ultimately failed to sell in significant numbers.
