Auburn Speedsters

1973-1973

Auburn Speedsters Co. was established in 1973 in Buffalo, New York. The company focused on producing replicas of the classic Auburn Speedster, a model originally manufactured by the Auburn Automobile Company in the 1930s. The replicas were built on a Ford chassis and utilized Ford running gear, which allowed for a more accessible production process.

The Auburn Speedsters Co. replicas featured a smaller 5700cc engine compared to the original models. This approach aimed to capture the aesthetic appeal of the classic Speedster while providing modern performance and reliability. In a significant development, the project was sold to GLASSIC, a company that subsequently rebranded the replica as the Romulus.
