Knight International

The Knight Vision R was a sports car concept announced in 2020 by Knight International, a company known for brokering hypercars and limited-production build slots. The Vision R represented its first foray into actual vehicle production, conceived as a modern interpretation of the classic AC/Shelby Cobra.

Styled to evoke 1960s racing cars, the Vision R featured a carbon fibre body with modern safety elements including rollover protection. The exterior design included a carbon fibre front splitter, ventilated front fenders, functional side intakes, a titanium exhaust, and a removable tonneau cover. Lightweight, centre-locking carbon fibre wheels were paired with a carbon ceramic braking system, underscoring the model’s performance focus.

The powertrain was described as a hybrid system, combining a front-mounted V8 with two electric motors, delivering a blend of traditional muscle and contemporary electrification. While full performance specifications were not disclosed, Knight International stated that the car would be engineered to the “highest standards” of modern supercar construction. Inside, the Vision R was intended to offer advanced digital instrumentation, including an augmented-reality digital gauge cluster, along with bespoke trim integrating carbon fibre components.

The Vision R was positioned as both a tribute to the Shelby Cobra and an update for the 21st century, merging retro-inspired design with lightweight construction and hybrid technology. However, beyond the announcement and renderings in 2020, there is no evidence that the model progressed into production.
