Kahn Design, founded by Afzal Kahn in Bradford, England, developed a reputation for blending modern engineering with the traditional craft of coachbuilding. Initially known for its bespoke tuning and styling programs, the company expanded into limited-production vehicles under its own name.
The flagship model was the Vengeance, a hand-built coupe based on the Aston Martin DB9 chassis. Inspired by Aston Martin’s designs of the 1980s and 1990s, it featured widened aluminium bodywork, a billet aluminium grille, stainless steel roof halo, roulette-style multi-spoke wheels, and hand-trimmed interiors. Each example was assembled by British craftsmen and produced in limited numbers from 2015. The Vengeance Volante followed as an open-top version, offering the same muscular styling in a convertible format.
Kahn also announced the Speed 7 in 2015, a retro racer inspired by 1930s Grand Prix machines. Built in aluminium or composites, it recreated the pre-war racing experience for modern enthusiasts, hand-built and accompanied by a detailed ownership record. The project extended into a lifestyle brand with period-themed clothing and accessories.
Alongside these, the Flying Huntsman division reimagined Land Rover Defenders. Its 2023 project, the Flying Huntsman 90 Spyder, was a two-seat grand tourer derived from the Defender 90, featuring hammer-formed aluminium panels, a removable canvas roof, and a six-month bespoke build process. Limited to eight units annually, it continued Britain’s coachbuilding traditions in Coventry.
