Eaglet

1948-1948

Eaglet was an electric car produced by SilentTransport Ltd, a company based in Woking, Surrey, United Kingdom. Founded in 1948, the company specialized in converting conventional road vehicles to electric power. The Eaglet emerged during the austerity era, a time when the demand for electric vehicles was more pronounced in continental Europe than in Britain.

The Eaglet was designed as a lightweight three-wheeled coupe, featuring a modest range of up to 30 miles per charge and a top speed of 30 miles per hour. Priced at £412, it was considered expensive for its time, which contributed to its limited commercial success. Ultimately, only six or seven units of the Eaglet were produced, making it a rare example of early electric vehicle design in the UK.
