Undeterred, Stevens embarked on a personal venture to construct the Desauto Stevens GT. His vision materialized in the form of an aluminum monocoque chassis, featuring a unique powertrain configuration comprising two Hillman Imp 4-cylinder engines merged to create a potent 2.0-liter V8 engine.
