Bedford

1904-1904

Bedford was a British automobile brand established by Wilson Brothers, who were electrical engineers. In 1904, they introduced a limited range of three car models. The lineup included a 6-horsepower single-cylinder two-seater featuring an armored wood frame and solid tires, a 10-horsepower twin, and a 16-horsepower four-cylinder model equipped with pneumatic tires. The latter model was notable for its Roi-des-Belges tourer body, crafted by Vedrine of Paris.

Despite the initial offerings, the brand did not survive beyond 1904, and no further vehicles were produced. By the 1920s, Wilson Brothers had merged with another local firm, C. E. Humphries, which specialized in selling spare parts for the London-built Meteorite. Additionally, the Bedford name was occasionally associated with Buick vehicles that were bodied in England, although these were more commonly referred to as Bedford-Buick.
