Baby Blake

1922-1922

Baby Blake was a British automobile manufacturer established in 1922 by E.G. Blake in Croydon, Surrey. The company specialized in the production of cyclecars, which were lightweight vehicles designed to be economical and efficient.

The Baby Blake was notable for its unconventional design, featuring two 2-stroke engines that operated in opposite directions. Instead of traditional flywheels, the vehicle utilized friction discs, which contributed to its unique engineering. A distinctive feature of the Baby Blake was a third disc that could be moved between the two engines, allowing for an infinitely variable drive system.

Despite its innovative design and a quoted price of £150, the Baby Blake saw limited commercial success, with very few units sold during its production run.
