Atomo

1947-1949

Atomo was a small three-wheeled vehicle produced by the Società Applicazioni Meccaniche Cosmmoni Automobilistiche (S.A.M.C.A.) based in Parma, Italy. The company was established in the post-World War II era, focusing on innovative automotive designs. The Atomo featured a 246cc two-cylinder two-stroke engine, which was mounted over and drove the rear wheel. This configuration allowed the vehicle to achieve a top speed of 47 mph (75 km/h) and was equipped with a three-speed gearbox.

Despite its unique design, the production of the Atomo was limited, and the company faced financial difficulties. By October 1949, S.A.M.C.A. ceased operations, marking the end of the Atomo's brief existence in the automotive market.
