Today we would like to present you a new supercar manufacturer which comes from the country of the most beautiful automobiles in the world - Italy. The company named Juliani Automobili is preparing its first model - the Veela - at this time which will be a highly exclusive four-seater (2+2, to be exact) coupe made for the passionate clientele. Aiming to build the cars of the highest quality possible, Juliani has an objective to offer their cars for an affordable price - less than a Ferrari but still with a great performance, as well.
Initially, the Veela will be powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine of American origin but prepared by Juliani Automobili itself. Though, the company possesses plans for the other engines including a 6-cylinder or a 4-cylinder hybrid units. A proposed maximum power of the aggregate is 520 horsepower while the estimated performance is greatly impressive: acceleration from 0 to 100 will take as less as 3.4 seconds and the top speed will be more than a 310 km/h.
Such high performance is achievable through the usage of lightweight composite materials what results in a total weight of just 1160 kilograms. A quick calculation shows that an estimated power-to-weight ratio is a superb 2.23 kg/hp! In comparison with such cars like Ferrari 458 Italia (2,42 kg/hp) or the new Pagani Huayra (1,93 kg/hp) the Juliani Veela appears to be a promising project.
The development of the Veela started last year. However, the company expects to have a finished car this summer. The production date is still to be announced, but the company intends to build 20 cars primarily with the other versions (targa and convertible) coming later. Intended to be available both as a LHS and a RHD car, the Veela will be also sold is the USA. The exclusivity of the car will be guaranteed not only by a very limited production numbers but also by an adequate price tag which starts at 100.000 euro (excluding taxes).
