Arash AF10 is finalized

Aug 21, 2010

Established in March 2006 by Arash Farboud, the man who is responsible for Farbio/Farboud GTS sportscar (now owned by Ginetta), Arash Motor Company has been developing their first supercar since then. The first non-running mock-up has been shown in British International Motor Show 2006 in London. The design has been revised and now the car features full carbonfibre structure with aluminium honeycomb and nomex panels as well as modular carbon chassis. Side and front windows are made or laminated glass while the rear one is made of plastic. Mid-mounted GM LS7 V8 7-litre engine develops 550hp at 6200 rpm, maximum torque of 555 Nm at 4800 rpm and is mated to 6-speed Graziano GT-ME1 gearbox. This enables the AF10 to "shoot" to 100 km/h in 3.2-3.4 seconds, and run at a top speed of around 330 km/h. The company also develops both a smaller version of the supercar, named AF8, and a racing machine. The AF8 may be equipped with the same GM aggregate as the AF10. Stay tuned!
