The Facam was a sleek, aerodynamic sports car featuring a laminated polyester body, built on the Volkswagen 1200 platform, much like its Belgian counterpart, the Apal. Weighing only 600 kg—150 kg lighter than the standard VW sedan—the Facam had a streamlined design optimized for performance. The lightweight body itself weighed just 60 kg, which contributed to the car's nimble handling and speed.

Measuring 4.15 meters in length, 1.60 meters in width, and standing only 1.22 meters high, the Facam could reach a top speed of 150 km/h with its original VW 1200 engine. Designer Walthèee Dreze eventually planned to upgrade it with a Porsche engine, which would have complemented the Porsche wheels already installed. With its impressive design and performance potential, the Facam was projected to be marketed at a price of 125,000 FB, offering a high-performance driving experience in a compact, lightweight package.
