Raymond Mays

1938-1939

Raymond Mays was one of the best-known British racing drivers of the inter-war era, and was an integral part of the ERA (English Racing Association) racing car company.
Mays decided to make a road car just prior to WW2, named after himself. The car used a 2.8 litre V8 engine in a chassis with transverse leaf independent front suspension. Sporting 4-seater tourer and drophead coupe body styles were offered, but production ended after only five cars were built.
