Buckingham and Ward (Australia) Ltd had an office at 360 Collins St, Melbourne. A prototype chassis was displayed at the 1933 Melbourne Motor Show. Two models were powered by a 21hp 4-cylinder engine - the 4-door 60 sedan and the 2-door 75 coupé. Buckingham and Ward reported they had purchased the engineering firm of Humble & Sons of Geelong to facilitate production. Parts for the Buckingham vehicles were made by H V McKay (Castings), Mepham, Ferguson and Co (chassis), A T Richardson (steering, differential and gearbox), Henderson Springs (springs and brakes) and Elite Motor Bodies of South Yarra for the bodywork. Production was due to commence in mid-1934, however the company was put into liquidation in 1935 by founder John Thomas Buckingham, before returning to car repairs.
