HVB GT

NETHERLANDS

time-calendar.png 1968

The HVB GT was a unique custom project, combining components from various notable automotive sources to create a distinctively low and sleek sports car. Powered by an engine from the BMW 1800 TISA, known for its performance, the HVB GT also featured a Hewland gearbox, renowned for its precision and durability in motorsport applications. The car was equipped with independent suspension, enhancing its handling and agility on the road.

One of the standout features of the HVB GT was its remarkably low profile, with a height of just one meter, giving it an aggressive and aerodynamic appearance. Its windscreen was sourced from a BMW 700 coupe, further blending elements of BMW engineering into the design. The car was meticulously crafted in Delft by Allas, under commission from a doctor in Dordrecht, making it a one-of-a-kind project.

Additionally, another version of the HVB GT was built using Volkswagen parts and a Volkswagen engine, sharing the same fundamental design but with different components.
