In March 1960, Chevy Studio presented an upmarket version of the Corvair directed by Bill Mitchell to Chevy management. Had Mitchell been successful, it would have made an interesting addition to the Corvair lineup. However, this proposal did not come to fruition, and the upmarket version of the Corvair was not produced.
