In the spring of 1974, Cadillac Studio embarked on a pivotal phase in the development of their automotive masterpiece, the LaSalle 2 door coupe. During this period, they took their clay model of the LaSalle outside for a comprehensive design review, seeking to refine its aesthetic essence. However, as the project progressed, a decision was made to rebrand the LaSalle, christening it the Seville, marking a significant transition. This renaming occurred prior to its highly anticipated debut for the '76 model year, signifying a shift in direction and signaling the dawn of a new era for Cadillac.
