The Rockwell was a taxicab which had the nickname 'Yellow Cab' because of its bright yellow colour. Albert Rockwell founded the Yellow Taxicab Company in New York City in 1912 with 1,000 Rockwell taxicabs, but the company went into receivership shortly afterwards. Albert was soon forced out of the company, with the company now producing ball bearings for GM until the mid-1960's, when the company was merged with Hyatt Roller Bearings.
