The Izzer owed its name to the man who ordered the first one, a Dr HH Bissell of Watseka, IL. He wanted an up to date car, an "is-er" not a "was-er". The Izzer was built to order by EA Myers of the Model Gas Engine Co of Peru, IN, and used a Model 4-cylinder and some components from Great Western, another car that was being built in Peru at this time. The body was a 3-seat tourer roadster. Having completed Dr Bissell's car, Myers then built two more , one for himself and one more for the Model Gas Engine Co office manager. The pictured car is the Bissell car, the only one of the three cars that still survives.
