The Izzer owed its name to the man who ordered the first one, a Dr HH Bissell of Watseka, IL. He wanted an up to date car, an "is-er" not a "was-er". The Izzer was built to order by EA Myers of the Model Gas Engine Co of Peru, IN, and used a Model 4-cylinder and some components from Great Western, another car that was being built in Peru at this time.
