Prior to building cars, Beggs were specialists in elaborately hand-carved bodies for circus wagons and carousel merry-go-rounds. The Beggs was a typical assembled car of the time, using Continental 7R and 8R engines.
In 1920, only open models were built, with a sedan offered in 1921. The Beggs cost $1175 in 1922, rising to $1495 in 1923, the final year of production. Total production is estimated at between 200-250 vehicles.
