The Baden took its name from the St Louis suburb in which it was manufactured. The Baden was never advertised or exhibited, with all sales being by word of mouth. There was no dealership - all cars were purchased directly from the factory. The main weakness of the Baden was its engine, with its castings being made in a local foundry. One car was reported to have broken four crankshafts in under a year. Apparently 30-50 were built, before negative word of mouth comments ended production. Many Badens were scrapped as it was impossible to resell them due to their poor reputation.
