Famous for the manufacture of guns and armaments since the 16th century, Beretta considered car manufacture to keep their workforce busy after the slump in demand for guns in Italy at the end of World War 2. The Beretta BBC had a 750cc V-twin engine of Beretta's own design driving the front wheels, a 4-speed gearbox, and all-independent suspension by coils at the front and swing axles at the rear. The body was an all-enveloping 2-door saloon. Three prototypes were made, of which one survives.
