The Sofravel Coccinelle, a unique miniature two-seater, was designed to capture the essence of classic American cars in a compact form. Its open-body style featured a sleek, American-inspired steel frame that gave it a bold, stylish presence despite its small size. Powered by a front-mounted 150cc 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine producing 6.5 bhp, the Coccinelle was modest in performance yet retained a touch of sophistication, driving the rear wheels via a chain linked to a 3-speed gearbox. Although its promising design held potential, the Coccinelle never saw a full production run, remaining a charming and rare example of mid-century automotive ingenuity.
