Italian manufacturer Laffite Automobili has collaborated with GFG Style to design its complete range of cars. The two companies will launch five electric hypercar models in Miami during the Formula 1 Grand Prix week. The ATRAX, ATRAX STRADALE, BARCHETTA, Laffite LM1, and BARCHETTA Coupé were designed in less than six months under the direction of stylist Fabrizio Giugiaro. The front of all models features a low spoiler, horizontal bar light clusters, air intakes, and DRL lights, which represent the brand's identity. The B pillars on the sides exhibit the same graphic theme, but with different proportions and functions. The rear is more customized, sharing many functional elements, such as the diffuser and the spoilers, that incorporate the typical rear light of a Formula 1 model. The five models share the same styling language and features, including custom-designed vents and ceiling lights.
The ATRAX and ATRAX STRADALE were designed as sporty SUVs with generous volumes and spacious interiors. The ATRAX features exceptional and extreme shapes, all-terrain wheels almost a meter in diameter, imposing fenders, and stylish, exposed carbon wheel arches. The ATRAX Stradale, on the other hand, features streamlined wings and accommodates a spacious trunk. Both models feature an end wing integrated into the fenders, while a red strip of lights separates the sport-derived round tail clusters. The ATRAX has an exterior spare wheel supported by a spider-like structure, which doubles as a hydraulic system that can lift the large spare wheel, while the ATRAX Stradale has a rear with streamlined wings.
The BARCHETTA is a unique hypercar with a double windshield and separate cockpits. The closed variant of the BARCHETTA Coupé alters its appearance and becomes a completely stand-alone model. The Laffite LM1, on the other hand, is a sports car that is street-legal and has been derived from endurance racing.
Fabrizio Giugiaro described the challenge of designing original cars with different and unique traits. The first objective was the front of the car and the way its light clusters express the brand's image. The front views of all five models feature the same design sequence, while the B pillars exhibit the same graphic theme with distinctly different proportions and functions. In contrast, the rear is more customized, sharing many functional elements, such as the diffuser and the spoilers that incorporate the typical rear light of a Formula 1 model. The interiors of all models use the same features, including custom-designed vents and ceiling lights. The ATRAX was primarily defined by the total use of volume (2+1) with unprecedented interior space. Its design takes into account the fact that the seats are fixed but height-adjustable, while the pedals and steering column can be adjusted by 180 mm for a perfect driving position.
In conclusion, Laffite Automobili and GFG Style have collaborated to design the Italian manufacturer's complete range of cars, which will be unveiled during the Formula 1 Grand Prix week in Miami.
